New restaurant coming to Wayzata

Hemisphere Restaurant Partners, the owners of Mission American Kitchen & Bar, will unveil a new restaurant known as “District” in downtown Wayzata. The $1.5 million restaurant, consisting of about 5,000 square feet, will be part of The Promenade of Wayzata, and will hopefully be opening in mid-August.

The menu will feature American cuisine, with a focus on healthy foods that are “locally sourced from people with the strictest guidelines to provide fresh, organic, sustainable harvest.” District, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, will offer a full bar, and seating for about 175, including patio space.

Apart from Mission American Kitchen & Bar, Hemisphere’s other restaurants in downtown Minneapolis are Good to Go and Atlas Grill. It is also known for its Tavern restaurants in Edina, Blaine and Woodbury.
