The self-serve frozen yogurt bar in Burnsville is just one of dozens of locations popping up all over the U.S.
Burnsville is now home to a self-serve yogurt franchise that is sweeping the nation. CherryBerry officially opened its doors on Travelers Trail on Thursday.
The concept is sweet but simple: Patrons are encouraged to walk in, grab a cup and start mixing. CherryBerry offers a rotating menu of 16 frozen yogurt flavors and more than 50 toppings. The final result is priced by weight.
“It’s like having pure frozen yogurt bliss in a cup,” CherryBerry Founder Dallas Jones said in a release from the company. “People can come in and make their own creations.”
By all accounts, the Oklahoma-based brand is taking Minnesota by storm in 2012. According to a recent article in the Woodbury Bulletin, CherryBerry is slated to open 50 stores in Minnesota in 18 months
Minnesota is not the only state to see rapid growth of the CherryBerry brand. Since CherryBerry became a part of Beautiful Brands International (BBI) in June of 2011, the company has sold over 200 franchises across the U.S. The company plans an aggressive expansion into Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Michigan, Wyoming, Colorado, Iowa, and our neighbor Wisconsin as well.
